Demand-driven
Don't see your time? Get DLT to add it.
Tell us when you actually want to travel, either direction. If enough students want the same slot and the trip covers its own costs, we add a bus.
How a request turns into a bus
- 1
You tell us a time
Direction, date, time, and how many of you there are.
- 2
We count passengers, not requests
One student booking for four friends counts as four potential passengers.
- 3
We check whether it pays for itself
Bus rental, driver, fuel, tolls and payment fees against expected seats sold. If it loses money, it doesn't run.
- 4
We confirm, or we don't
If it's confirmed, you get a message and the trip appears on the schedule. If it isn't, you hear that too.
A 40-seat bus needs enough of it filled to be worth running. There's no fixed “X requests = bus” rule. It depends on the actual costs that week.
